The exodus- part 1

I just saw my favorite animation movie "Prince of Egypt"
I just started my blog
So i thought why not just write about it

The kid and the basket

The new born
small and frail
away from
tyranny set asail

killed were
many new born
wombs of mothers
ripped and torn

Fired upon
no burial or casket
this one kid
set afloat in a basket

the twigs and
the barked woods
swam across
like floating goods

looked upon
by weary eyes
praying so hard
to the starry skies

blows the wind
to the pharoah's house
picked it was
by the tyrant's spouse

the irony was
so blunt and stark
that the god's lamp
glows in satan's dark

the eyes followed
prayers laid to rest
come back she said
to deliver from tyrant's crest

Come o moses
relieve this curse
Deliver us

The fallen prince

Grew into a man
the kid that sailed
To defeat death
the evening star failed

For it was time
For the star to fall
For moses to rise
At the shepherd's call

For he was
still naive and dint know
to the debt
and to whom did he owe

For he was
still proud to be a king''s son
The chariot race
in the market was still fun

But somwhere did
he bleed when the whip lashed
When his brother's
skin off the bone was slashed

But knew he did not
that he was his brother
Of ibrahim they were born
if not to the same mother

But that starry
night caped escapade
Saw the royal
glitter escapade

When came forth
the eyes that followed
when the sister
appeared like a maiden hollowed

Whom he knew
as only slaves
called him brother
insolence and braves

Frought and confused
He ran scared and left
Haunted and pale
as if caught from a theft

Ran, ran and ran
to his mother what he did
not knowing
the answers like a kid

Asked and she told
for what was hidden
a hebrew in the castle
the word forbidden

The eyes swelled out
and the jaw dropped
at the murder of babies
like a harvest cropped

Angered and bewildered
With heart filled with rage
He stopped the lashing whip
killed the man in angered craze

Ran for he could not
see the blood and sin
the life he took out
of the flesh and skin

Fallen from the eyes
had the curtain
the loom of death
had spun for certain

For the fallen prince
Would axe the curse
And deliver us

The deliverer comes

Ran the fallen prince
accross the desert sand
Under the beating sun
walking on his bare hand

Crawled the fallen prince
on the sand he could not hold
the life running out like it
like the shine going out of gold

Opened his hands
and stood abreast the storm
but the death wish
not answered by one with no form

Buried in sand
he lived on still
was it his own
or was it god's will

Searched for food
as the day got hotter
found three little girls
with a bucket of water

For he thanked them
and repay them he would as well
Saved their sister
sold by bandits for money swell

Taken to the village
as a debt repaid
but what help
his hope was swayed

But little he knew
of the god's great plan
When he became a
shepherd in a little clan

He lived long roaming
in the desert many a mile
married the girl he saved
walked down the aisle

He expected
nothing to change
but ways of god
are often very strange

Little he knew
following the lost sheep
that he would find
god on a sand heap

He just stood amazed
Saw a burning bush
A sound he heard
and then a long hush

For he stood on holy land
and he did not know
He asked who are you
to the keeper of what lies below

I am who I am
Answered the flame
Signed the shepherd
When the lamb came

The flame grew
But it was ever so warm
it felt like god had embraced
like he did in the storm

He called out
moses I heard my people cry
I choose you to deliver
Who am i to deliver and why

Like the father
colding his child who disobeys
asks moses
Isnt it me who made man's ways

Scared moses shivered
and covered his face
When again cuddled
him the assuring embrace

Moses you are my son
and you will go to egypt
And gave him his stick
to smite what is dark and crypt

The pharoah will not listen
and he will not let my people go
Then you will do my wonders
Free my children in pain below

Go moses
Go amidst the worse
Deliver us

AAH too long a rhyme. I will write later exodus part 2
